Find out about our work in more detail and take a look at our case studies.
We have recently carried out some commercial work unblocking drains in the boat house located within the village of Laugherne, the long-time home of poet Dylan Thomas. We have also carried out work at the local spar where we performed a CCTV camera survey as well as high pressure water jetting in order to unblock a troublesome drain.
We carry out routine servicing on a very regular basis for the local Morrisons supermarket, we also recently carried out a deep clean of storm drains removing debris on behalf of Thread needle Property Unit Trust from 14 storm gulley’s using a combination of manual cleaning and high pressure water jetting.
We have also cleaned and disinfected a blocked downpipe located in Glangwili Hospital near to the town centre until the flow was restored to the desired level.
Recently we have been called out to a Supermarket in Carmarthen which was suffering from a leak in the pipelines. Further investigation showed that a leak was coming from somewhere inside the shop our engineer carried out Drain Tracing for two hours and a CCTV Survey for one hour. Further investigation showed that the tank system was leaking into the line. The engineers carried out Drain Tracing and a CCTV Survey which had found the source of the leak. The client said that he was “very pleased with how the staff of Metro Rod (Swansea) worked while being in my store and would use them again”.
On another occasion we were called out to the National Probation Service Office based in Carmarthen. The property had an overflowing manhole on one side of the building. The experienced Metro Rod engineer carried out High Pressure Water Jetting for two hours and during that process foul debris was removed, the job was completed with the full flow restored.
