Metro rod received a call from a local construction company who were nearing completion of the new Castle Oak Care Home in Kidderminster.
Our brief was to carry out a full site CCTV survey to check all the newly installed pipework was in perfect condition with no defects that could affect the day to day drainage services once the site was fully open to new residents.
Our team of engineers attended to survey the drainage system utilising main line crawler system for pipework above 150mm diameter and standard CCTV units. High pressure water jetting was carried out to remove any blockages and the build-up of sand and silt which had accumulated during construction works to ensure all pipework was in a free flowing condition.
On completion of our works on site, the construction company was issued with a final report and DVD footage in order to show that the drainage was in a fully serviceable condition.
Metro Rod also have the experience and capabilities to fix any defects which are commonly found when carrying out full site surveys. Cracks and displaced joints can often occur due to the heavy machinery that is often used in construction. Many of these defects can be repaired using specialist “no dig” repairs also know as “localised structural repairs” or “Patch repairs” where an isolated defect can be repaired from above ground level causing no disruption to any newly laid surfaces. Sometimes however excavation is necessary to repair, but you can rest assured that we will always carry out any such repairs in the most cost effective method available.
