In addition to this, we have also been externally audited by a leading Utilities sector 3rd party certification company (Achilles), which demonstrates the effectiveness of the Quality, Safety and Environmental management systems throughout the business.
Our key achievements: In 2015/16 we achieved 39% reduction in carbon per £m turnover since 2014/15. In 2016 we achieved the Achilles Certified Emissions Measurement & Reduction Scheme (CEMARS), providing an external verification of our Carbon Footprint
Metro Rod is certified under the Achilles UVDB scheme, having achieved 100% in both audits for the 2nd year running in 2016. The audit encompasses all elements of health and safety, quality and environmental performance and arrangements, including that of corporate social responsibility.
