Metro Rod, one of the UK’s leading drainage repair and maintenance providers, are delighted to announce the appointment of Jason Bird, who has been tasked with helping the network grow their businesses and win new accounts within the Midlands.
Speaking about the appointment, Commercial Director Peter Molloy comments, “Since being acquired by Franchise Brands plc there have been lots of exciting changes – and this just goes to show their commitment to helping the franchise network grow and develop even further. Jason is the first of hopefully a few appointments of this kind, and so far, we’ve seen fantastic results!
“Having been established over 30 years, we already have great brand awareness, but this is something we are also keen to grow substantially! We know our franchisees and their technicians provide first-class drainage repair and maintenance, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so we just need to get the word out there to ensure even more businesses can rely on our expert service!”
Jason is thoroughly enjoying getting his teeth stuck into this brand-new role for Metro Rod - “I know the construction industry very well, from initial building and development proposals to completed projects up to the value of £20 million. I have worked with most of the major house builders, housing associations, local councils, and with experience running my own business I have good contacts with many private and commercial landlords, and estate agents with large portfolios. I believe this will help to create a new route in future customer relations and most importantly, repeat business, with a strong focus on customer retention.”
Jason initially spent his time going out with the engineers in the field to really understand the whole service and exactly what is involved. His focus now is to come up with new business ideas and introduce innovative materials - creating long-term revenue streams to help grow each business and make the Metro Rod name even more visible.
