1.    Don’t let the taps run!

2.    Bathing vs. Showering

A full bath uses around 80 litres of water whereas a five-minute power shower uses around 75 litres. Having a normal shower for five minutes only uses 45 litres of water. If you feel like you know you don’t take that long in the shower, water can be saved by swapping a bath for a shower – especially if you have a normal shower as this can save up to 35 litres.

3.    Turn off the tap!

You can also save water when preparing your food by washing your vegetables in a bowl of water rather than under a running tap. By keeping the tap running and washing the vegetables underneath, you’re using around 6 litres per minute! And just think, if you wash your vegetables in a bowl you can re-use the water in the garden.
