HOW OFTEN DO YOU RECEIVE GREAT SERVICE FROM A BUSINESS AND REPORT THIS BACK TO THEM?
If you’re anything like me it’s not enough! But, here at Metro Rod in Liverpool we thrive off great feedback and reviews and feel that they are really important to our business, ensuring our customers are happy and that our engineers are rewarded for great service and good work.
The Oxford English Dictionary defines feedback as “Information about reactions to a product, a person’s performance of a task etc, used as a basis for improvement” and here at Metro Rod in Liverpool we feel that this is it – if we have done a good (or bad!) job then we would like to know about it so we can make improvements if necessary or heap praise on our engineers if they have excelled in a particular job!
Recently I was in a local supermarket and the lady on the checkout was really lovely, she was helpful, chatty and helped to entertain my tired and cranky 5 year old. Once I got home I called up the supermarket, found out that they have a commendation book and my comment about this lady was put into the book, I now understand that if she gets a certain number of positive comments or reviews she receives a voucher – what an incentive! Kindness and good manners shouldn’t need to be rewarded, they should be common place but unfortunately they aren’t always these days and a lot of companies choose to incentivise good service.
Luckily for us here in Metro Rod in Liverpool (and our customers!) our engineers are actually really lovely people and they are often noted as going above and beyond their roles. Some of the feedback that we have had recently includes:
- “Jamie was so helpful, he even helped me to clean out the cupboard that my pipes had leaked into. he didn’t have to do that, what a lovely lad”
- “Eddie was extremely efficient, totally thorough and he involved myself completely, he showed me the issues that had caused my drainage problem”
- “Nigel unblocked my drains and even cleaned the surrounding areas, he made the place look great”
- “Barry and Chris solved my long standing drain problem today. Fantastic workmanship. They are a credit to their company”
These are just a few of the great comments that we have had about our engineers and we are really proud of them all.
