Drain Problems? Not on this Southport site! | Metro Rod Liverpool

Here at Metro Rod we are often asked to go out to new build sites to fix drainage problems and drain blockages.

This can be annoying and distressing to the new householders, as they have just purchased a brand new home and, understandably, want everything to be perfect.  The builders on a particular site in Southport however went a step further and got the drains flushed through and extensively checked by Metro Rod prior to handover.  This is to ensure that the new home owners have no problems with snagging, left over builders rubble or other materials that may be left in drains.  As careful as the builders can be it is almost inevitable that rubble and other left over materials will be flushed into drainage systems on sites.

Prior to tarmacking and handover Metro Rod spent a few days on this particular Southport site to ensure clear, free flowing drains!

This is something that is starting to become more common on new build house sites.

Metro Rod are certainly being asked to carry out this type of work more often now.  It makes sense though, like a pre planned maintenance programme, it's best to be aware of any drain blockages or defects before they become problematic.  Doing it this way it's likely that the defect or blockage won't be as bad or be causing as many problems as it would be after all of the houses are inhabited and all of the drains are being used.  We are also doing some similar works, not in Southport, but in Liverpool at the moment on an estate of old houses that have been refurbished and brought back to life.
