"I had Arran Douglas to complete a job on Wed 9th March. I asked if I could have details to provide feedback as I and the rest of the branch was very impressed with Arran’s work.
For the last year I have been logging jobs to try and get to the bottom of foul smells in the branch. The problem has actually been logged over approx. 4 years without anyone being able to tell us the root cause or solve the issue.
Arran came to branch and listen to all of the things that had been done and what was happening and we immediately able to tell what had been missed and solve the problem. He has also offered to come back to check some other things that may be contributing and to carry out a maintenance contract to ensure it does not become a regular issue.
I cannot tell you how grateful the branch team are that this issue has finally been resolved through Arran’s knowledge and persistence. I wish he had been allocated the job sooner!"Bank in Blyth

Delivering great customer service and having a great team are my priorities.
Since 1999, I have seen Metro Rod North East grow from having 2 employees to 20 and constantly strive to increase the amount of work we get in so that I can offer more people the security of full time permanent employment.
It’s one thing to clear blocked drains; through investment and working with our clients, we ensure that we deliver the best possible service to meet their needs. I want to make sure that our clients are delighted with the service they receive from Metro Rod.
At the beginning of 2016, I also opened a further business, Metro Rod Plumbing, to offer our customers additional reactive plumbing services.
In 2016 I won an award from the British Franchise Association, where I was named Female Franchisee of the Year. This is a prestigious award and I am absolutely thrilled.
I have 2 dogs that keep me busy when I’m not at work and I love the Northumberland Beaches and to travel.
My aim is to ensure that our customers have the best experiences possible; from their initial conversation with our office to booking the works in, all the way through to receiving the invoice.
I work with my team in the office to ensure we are communicating effectively with our customers to give them peace of mind, fast information in real time and transparency in our pricing. All of this means our customers are happy with the service that we provide and return to us time and time again.
When I am not at work I try and do lots of fun things with my son. I love music and going to concerts; my all-time favourite is Fleetwood Mac!
Since joining Metro Rod Drain Care + Repair in 2003 I have been an drainage engineer and worked my way up to my current position of Operations Manager. I hold an IOSH certificate in Managing Safely and ensure that all of the drainage engineers and plumbers have the correct training and equipment to work safely.
I am always looking for cutting edge technology to provide the best service possible to our clients. We have recently invested in I-Touch CCTV Equipment which allows for live data transmission between the engineers on site to the office and our customers.
Outside of work I am kept busy by my little boy and my dog. When I get the chance I also enjoy going to various racing events on my motorbike.
