This weekend saw our Annual Metro Rod Conference at Celtic Manor Resort , the event brought together fellow franchise owners and employees, our Support Centre team and colleagues from Willow Pumps to discuss the challenges, opportunities, plans for the future of our commercial drainage business including the #2023vision! The conference was hosted by Stephen Hemsley, Executive Chairman of Franchise Brands.
Exhibitors at the event showed us the latest technology and best equipment on the market. Meeting up with friends from other franchises is always a highlight!
It was also a time to celebrate success with the Annual Awards Ceremony which was hosted by Peter Molloy, Managing Director of Metro Rod. Within the 10 categories, Metro Rod Cambridge' s Business Development Manager, Naomi Sherwood was delighted to receive an award for "PR Event of the Year 2019' for the work on Ely Hero Awards. The event has media partnership with both the Ely Standard Newspaper and BBC Radio Cambridgeshire.
A whopping £1300 was raised on the night for Harefield Hospital , where fellow Franchisee, Sue Caulfield at Metro Rod Oxon and West Buck received treatment 10 years ago - the unit literally saved her life. Sue has been fundraising for Harefield Hospital on the 10th Anniversary of her treatment. Executive Chairman, Stephen was auctioned off the winning bidder will have Stephen working for them for the day!
