Whether you call it Pancake Day, Shrove Tuesday, Pancake Tuesday or Mardi Gras (apparently some people do!). I'm sure that we can all agree that those yummy pieces of batter washed down with lemon, sugar, chocolate spread or whatever your topping of choice are an absolute TREAT! Traditionally the day before Lent begins and a reason to use up all of the spare eggs, milk and flour in the home but now, in my house anyway, it's just an excuse to eat chocolate spread out of the jar!
As usual Metro Rod want to push home the message that fats should not be disposed of down the sink. They can cause localised blockages in your own sink or, if you're lucky enough for it not to affect you on your property the fats will move along the line, into the mains and contribute to the fatbergs that are becoming so much more common these days.
