Unblock a shower

There are a couple of effective home remedies you can try to unblock a shower before calling for professional help.

1. 1. Mixing baking soda and vinegar together forms a reaction which helps remove blockages. Pour 1 cup of baking soda down the drain, followed by 2 cups of boiling water. Then add another cup of baking soda and then 2 cups of vinegar. Try to make sure that the mix goes as far down the drain as possible
   2. If you take a wire clothes hanger and straighten it out as much as you can, then using the hook end you can try fishing out whatever gunk is causing the blockage in your sink or drain. Remember to be careful as you do this, as you don’t want to be pushing the blockage further down the drain. When you think you’ve got as much out as you can, run the hot water and hopefully it will drain as normal.
