Metro Rod Newport is celebrating a new contract, which will see them offer a dedicated 24/7 service across Herefordshire and Powys, whilst creating new jobs.

Metro Rod Newport and Hereford, the experts in blocked drains, based in Blaenau Gwent South Wales and will commence work on the contract at the start of November.

The combined resources of the Metro Rod Support Centre, Metro Rod Newport and Hereford undertook a tender process with D?r Cymru Welsh Water which took more than 12 months to complete and which saw every aspect of their business scrutinised in close detail.

The contract has an initial term of 4 year, but could expand beyond, meaning that the local Metro Rod office is keen to recruit more local people to join the team.

The tendering process saw the team presenting on several occasions and provide evidence of their technical and commercial expertise.

Metro Rod’s experience and history in dealing with blocked drains & drain maintenance enquiries, coupled with their 24/7 service assistance, excellent speed of response and high level of professionalism, gave Welsh Water the assurance and confidence they would need to know that Metro Rod could meet all their drainage requirements.

Metro Rod prides itself on outstanding customer support, offering Welsh Water constant communication during and after the job and a blocked drainage service that offers true value for money.
