During Green Great Britain Week we are highlighting the recurrent problem we encounter on many of the jobs our experienced drainage engineers attend, WET WIPES. We encourage people to not flush their wet wipes down the loo this will prevent clogging up the drains and avoid building up in to a nasty fatbergs causing all sorts of environmental problems. #GreenGreatBritainWeek

It was estimated by Euromonitor that we use between 1,500 and 2,250 wipes per child from the day they are born to the age of three. It’s not just baby wipes that are the culprits, but also the more recent trend for anti-bac, floor, glass, make-up – you name it, if it’s something you can clean, there will be a wipe for the job, and these wipes are then all to often simply flushed down the loo.

Our drainage engineers deal with blockages caused in this way on an almost daily basis, and it only seems to be getting worse. We are obviously able to deal with this kind of blockage using techniques such as high-pressure jetting to clear any build up and even drainage repair if necessary, but we’d also like to help educate the nation and try and lessen the damage caused in this way.

Whether you are a business or a household we’d be happy to help with your blocked drains.

We have drainage engineers in Bournemouth, Poole, Weymouth, Dorchester, Blandford Forum, Portsmouth, Havant, Waterlooville, Gosport, Fareham and the surrounding villages to come to the rescue.
