Thanks so much for your assistance with my drain issues this week.

It’s been a nightmare, but all your help & advise has really helped take the stress away, nothing seems too much trouble for you & Mark the Engineer was great!

This is the second time you have helped me out between two different houses, I’m hoping I won’t have any more issues but if I do, I know where to come.

We went out to a property located at a retirement development in Bicester, as the customer was having a serious problem where flushing the toilet or sink was causing waste water to rise up in the bath. The developments caretaker had taken a look, but it was clear that our services were needed so we sent out Tony. 

Tony got to work trying to clear the blockage from the WC, which was unsuccessful, so he explored the manholes outside searching for the downstream access that would enable him to clear the blocked drain. This proved trickier than anticipated, but he knew he couldn't leave the resident without her facilities. He requested a camera be brought on site and then was able to use the CCTV camera to track down a hidden manhole that was underneath some hedges. The CCTV camera also showed the cause of the problem: tree roots! 

Once this manhole was opened it was a straightforward matter to remove the roots and clear the blockage. 

We were delighted to receive a letter from the resident who told us:

"I would like to say how grateful and impressed I was by Tony who came to clear my bathroom pipes last Friday. He persevered until he found and cleared the problem.  In fact working until 10PM. Not many young men, these days, would have not "come back tomorrow"!

Altogether a charming and helpful young man."

Lovely to hear that our efforts were well received and Tony got a kick out of being referred to as a young man!

Our engineers have been on top form lately gathering positive comments on a regular basis. On this occasion We attended the Unicorn Public House in Caersws. The owner called us to come out to investigate an overflowing external Drain. The review read:-
"We called late Friday night, and we were tole the engineer would be here at 0830 hours the next morning. He arrived on time and was very professional, the engineer (Nick Plumley) was a credit to his company. He sorted the problem out and cleaned and tidied up after. Its refreshing to see such a professional company. I would recommend this company every time. Thank you guys."

Having had a disastrous experience previously with another company I found Metro Rod online and have used them a couple of times now. Fantastic experience on both occasions and very efficient. I called at 11am, had an engineer with me by 1pm and the problem solved by 2pm. The engineer (Tony) was a lovely guy and you can tell he is very confident in what he does and very friendly

Blocked Sink in Oswestry Brings 5 Star Review for Metro Rod Mid Wales & Shropshire.

We have had a very busy couple of weeks here at Metro Rod Mid Wales and Shropshire. Not only have the weekdays been busy our on call engineer had a busy weekend, We were called to a property in Oswestry on Sunday afternoon with a Blocked kitchen sink. The customer left this brilliant review:
"Excellent service. The engineer was here within 2 hours of ringing on a Sunday, Paul fixed the problem very quickly , leaving no mess what so ever, very pleased "

As you can see from the photograph below the Trap of the sink was completely Blocked, our engineer removed the trap, unblocked and cleaned it and reinstated to full working order.

We are really proud of our engineers and its great for them to get brilliant reviews like the one above. Well done Paul Dickens!

Alan come out to fix my blocked sink yesterday at my property in E4, he fixed the problem and was a lovely person just wanted to thank him as we have had loads of people come look at the job and walked away without doing the job taking cash for nothing.

Customer Service is Free of Charge!

We have had some incredible feedback this morning!  Last night we went to a job where a client was in a vulnerable situation with children and had no facilities.  The insurance policy taken out, on this occasion, was insufficient to cover such works however as we were not prepared to leave our customer in such a predicament.  This morning, completely free of charge, we returned with parts and fixed the problem.

In our office the customer is always at the centre of everything we do. A bit of compassion goes a long way.


'I have had two of your employees work at my home over the past two days - Hayden and Mark.
I would just like to take this opportunity to Inform you that I have not come across more dedicated employees in all the years I can recall dealing with people like these two.
I commend them on their attitude toward their Job, the service they provide is 100%. In fact I would say Hayden goes above and beyond his duty to ensure that the individual (I.e me), but I feel in all his jobs are completely satisfied and the job is complete and safe before he goes ensuring all our safety. 
Customer service, efficiency and the pride he has in his work his one in a million.
The care he had to ensure I was not without any services within my home, due to my health problems, I was overwhelmed. The fact the he had sensed the stress I was started to fee yesterday when things were not working out and he ensured he did everything he could to help me, has one me over.
Once again I want to say thank you to them both, great guys and a job well done.'
