We are so pleased to have had the opportunity to support a close family friend and her journey in helping raise money for two charity's Mummy's Star and Christies. Here is a little bit about Lynsey and her reason to start her fundraising.
"In January 2019 I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL). Our world got turned upside down and we began a scary journey that has taught us the value of each and every day and everyone who is part of it.
We have had a very different 2 years than we ever expected but we have learned to embrace our change in life. In doing so we have used our journey , with the much needed help of family and friends, to support and help others that may be going through a similar thing.
Our story “Mummy goes to Hospital” is a children’s story book that aims to support families with younger children to help them make sense of the change in their worlds.
With your help we hope to reach families through sending packs of the books to charities / hospital / health centres / schools. And raise more awareness through selling individual books and asking for money donations that will also be given to charity."
After running out of her first lot of books we decided to buy and sponsor 1000 more books to help Lynsey raise more money for her chosen charities. We are grateful to be part of her journey. Please follow the link below to donate and for more information.
